Lola’s Cupcakes was born back in 2006, when two friends, Victoria and Romy, turned baking into a business. With orders pouring in, the pair opened concessions in Selfridges, Topshop and a flagship store in Mayfair.
Our first bakery was in Primrose Hill, and we would deliver cupcakes 3x a day to our stores. Inside the bakery was a team of 7, and baking was done throughout the night, much to the frustration of local neighbours!
Our customers always ask us, 'What does LOLA'S stand for. To set the record straight, it was the nickname for one of the founders. Some have said it was an acronym for:
Ladies Of Leisure Always!
Lola's has always focused on the best quality ingredients, freshest cakes, and making celebrations special.
Fast forward some years, and Lola's began to focus on its online website, opened more shops, and started delivering nationwide, and our team continued to grow. Back in 2011, we were a team of 40 and as of 2024 we are a team of 400! Lola's is privately owned, and has one international franchisee in Japan!
We will continue to stay loyal to principles of our founders, and look forward to baking for you soon. .

What could be more fun than running a cupcake business!!!!! You’ll often find me serving behind our counters, I have a passion for customer service, working with great people and delivering exceptional results, mostly tasty cupcakes & cakes.
I strive to ensure our customers have the very best cakes, and that Lola's is a great company to work for. That means great benefits for our team, and internal opportunities for progression, as we continue on our mission to let the UK enjoy our wonderful cakes.
